It is recommended to shave the treatment area prior to your visit, and avoid waxing or plucking, as the hair follicle must be in place for the laser to target it and work effectively.

The laser can target multiple hair follicles at once, making it a quicker and more tolerable treatment than electrolysis, which can target only one hair at a time.

Dr. O’Donnell earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, completing her internship in general surgery at the University Hospitals of Cleveland and her residency in anesthesiology and critical care at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She spent a decade practicing cardiovascular and critical care anesthesia in the Washington, DC area, before turning her focus to vein & cosmetic care.

Alexandra “Ali” Weiss is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with eight years of cosmetic experience in various settings including plastic surgery, dermatology, and medical aesthetics. She graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from The Catholic University of America, and began working in primary care and dermatology before transitioning solely into aesthetics. Her training has included work with lasers, dermal fillers, neurotoxins, fat reduction, and medical grade skin care.
